C-Clear is a 30-day environment investigation and monitoring service. We identify exposed systems and monitor agreed sources while your IT team applies fixes. You receive a prioritised plan for the next 90 days.
A facilities contractor can reach a building-management gateway. The investigation follows the ownership and evidence behind that access.
Illustrative connected-building investigation
Boundary
IT and facilities establish who owns the gateway and how the contractor is granted remote access.
Evidence
Check whether logs show a support session. If records are missing, identify the coverage gap and who can close it.
Handover
Agree the next actions with the technical owners. The 30-day investigation starts after scanning and monitoring have been checked across the agreed scope.
How network investigation and SOC monitoring work together
C-Clear uses two technologies. The discovery and scanning technology identifies exposed devices and helps prioritise fixes. Sumo Logic gives our SOC analysts visibility of activity from connected sources. For example, if a device needs a patch, your team can schedule the change while our analysts watch for signs of attempted exploitation. We then re-check the fix where the evidence allows.
What’s connected?
We compare the devices and software we can see on agreed networks with your inventory. We flag unmanaged equipment, unsupported versions and vulnerabilities, then use evidence of exploitation and potential attack paths to help you decide what matters first.
What’s happening?
Our SOC monitors agreed sources in Sumo Logic, including identity, endpoint, network and cloud logs. Analysts investigate suspicious activity, escalate significant findings to your named contacts and coordinate response within the permissions you agree.
What’s affecting service?
We review recurring errors, failed connections and gaps in logging alongside security events. Where metrics and traces are available, they help technical owners investigate slow services and understand which systems depend on one another.
Before the investigation, list the sites, network ranges, device types and log sources that can be observed. Identify unmonitored areas and sensitive operational devices that need a passive or separately approved approach. At handover, distinguish an asset that has been verified as fixed from one that could not be rechecked.
From scope to handover
The 30 days begin once we’ve checked that scanning and monitoring work across the agreed scope.
Agree coverage
Choose the networks, critical services and data sources to include. Confirm access, licences, technical owners and escalation arrangements, then test the connections.
Build the baseline
Record what we can see, where coverage is incomplete and which exposures deserve attention first.
Investigate and verify
Analysts monitor, hunt and tune detections throughout the engagement. When your team makes a change, we re-check the finding where the available evidence allows.
Plan the next 90 days
We walk leadership through the findings and give technical teams an evidence pack. Your roadmap distinguishes verified fixes, accepted risks and outstanding actions, with owners and priorities. We agree who takes over monitoring at the close.
